Concealed Carry Law Won't Change Police Procedures

Local law enforcement officers say there is no additional risk to the way they conduct their jobs after a bill passed the state legislature that says permits will no longer be required for people to carry concealed handguns in the state.
"Certainly, this legislation is a change in the state law that effects what circumstances a concealed weapon can be carried under," said Bullhead City Chief of Police Rodney Head. "As law enforcement professionals we will follow the law once it takes effect."

Mohave County Sheriff Tom Sheahan said he does not believe the law will have an adverse effect on the way deputies conduct business in the county.
